I use both Wheel-throwing and hand building to create my unique pieces. Carving, burnishing and my own formulated glazes give each piece its own life and character. My inspiration comes from Classic and Historic ceramic styles, European, Middle Eastern and Far Eastern styles, and my own flights of fantasy and imagination. This is an example of Agateware (or 'Ghostware' in the Far East). Different colors of clay body are combined, then thrown and carved on the wheel. I am very much enjoying exploring this style!
